Two things strike me about this passage:
1. The centurion was in a position of power himself, and recognized Jesus’ power to only say the words and his servant would be healed. What faith! This man wasnt playing games. He had no ulterior motives. His only wish was for Jesus to say the words so his servant would be healed. The centurion KNEW Jesus didnt need to be present. To this Jesus responds with, “Let it be as you have believed”.
2. The townspeople and herdmen from the Gadarenes were full of fear. They didnt care who he was or why all of these things happened. They just wanted him to leave them alone.
