    Isaac’s blessing fell to the one God designed to have it. Why did they have to scheme and plot and weasel the blessing out of him?

    They didn’t have to. I am certain that God did not approve of the deception. Jacob and Rebekah did that on their own. God accomplished his will in spite of what people did.

    Ricky, thats what I meant. They didnt have to, but they chose to. After all that God had already done for them, they didnt trust that He would accomplish His purposes. So, like us, they stressed out, came up with a plan, carried it out, stressed out even more at the death threat, and then ran away from the problem.
