whoever loses his life for my sake will find it – AMEN!
“For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. 37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me”
We just talked about this passage the other day with the kids. It is hard being a kid trying to fit in and be cool, and yet be a real Christian. Society pressures for kids to be cool, but Jesus calls us to sacrifice that image. If following Christ means walking away from everything you know and love, is it worth it? A million times yes! We will be homesick, but God will truly bless us.
Don’t fear those who may hurt us physically or kill our bodies because of our message. They cannot touch our souls! Amen to that!
